SCRUMPTIOUS SOY CURL BBQ SANDWICH WITH SLAW
I made this sandwich for my husband for our anniversary. You know what they say about the way to a man's heart! He is sensitive to the texture of foods so preferred the BBQ soy curls shredded and I have to agree it was better that way. Adjusting to a healthier homemade BBQ sauce was not easy so I added a little store-bought BBQ sauce to help with the transition. This sandwich is delicious in its own right and you don't have to worry about damaging your arteries since it has no animal fat! The leftovers where even better!

Here is a site showing the sugar and sodium content of some popular BBQ sauces. It will be apparent why it is best to make your own at home. In the picture section I have slides about how to interpret the sugar and sodium on nutrition labels.
What I did differently for the BBQ sauce:
-Used ketchup that had no added sugar
-Made 1/2 batch of the sauce and then added 3 TBSP Kroger organic BBQ sauce
-To the 1/2 batch also added extra 1/2 TBSP maple syrup, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/8 tsp chili powder, 3 tsp Frank's Hot Sauce, pinch ground cayenne pepper, pinch salt
What I did differently for coleslaw:
-Used bag of mix that had cabbage, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and lettuces since was on clearance and faster to prep. I pulsed in a food processor until pieces smaller. Once chopped it came to about 3 cups
-Made 1/2 batch of dressing
